Description I'm actually happy with this project!! The first time this year!

This is for a non-real book about the goddess Nuenis, who is from the mythology of that world I'm always working on. So, the book would be dark and cryptic, and feel very ancient and mythological.

Nuenis is the goddes of wolves, hunting, female nature, instinct, and fear.

Acrylic, sepia laquer ink, colored pencil.
Touched up only very slightly in photoshop.

Very nicely done but I find myself intrigued, is Nuenis from a myth or a game? I tried to google it but nothing really came up to clear that up for me.

Haha...surprised you bothered to try and look it up.

Nuenis is a goddess from the world I've built that I write stories and such from. xD

I love the skin and what seems to be the suggestion of a red cape. The moon, the face... everything about this is stunning.
Werewolves rock.

Magnificient work as always! You did a terrific job of setting the tone in this piece. There is a definate spiritual (though not in the cheerful hippie way) feel to the illustration because of the way you've allowed some of the elements to flow and blend, particularly the ruff of hair/fur and the similar colors in the fangs, eyes, and moon. A fav for sure!
((P.S. I still think you should sell prints... your work is amazing.))

Oh yeah...hmm...prints. Forgot about that. I have *one* of my pieces up for print. It's just such a pain in the ass to get the art all nice and formatted to the template, and then nobody ever considers buying because this place's prices are hellish.

Really glad you like it though!! Again, your opinion is way up there above most everyone else.

Lycanthropes are challenging to illustrate, but you did a great job. Exquisite anatomy and superb tones. The contrast and ambiance are beautiful. Wonderfully sensual and menacing.
