Really magnificent.
Great energy and motion in the figures, composition plays up the urgency, strong colours.
And wicked armour design!

It was a beautiful screenshot, and now it's an even more beautiful painting. I love how you emphasized the purple, in the "flames", as well as the background.
If I had to criticize anything, it would be the detailing on the sword in the background, the chainmail on the bottom right, and the gold logo on the right guy's chest. Those areas seem a bit too abstract, while the rest of the scene is pretty detailed. The image as a whole looks fantastic, but if you focus on those areas, they do seem "unfinished". :/

Woah, the level of detail, and the entire color palette, it's simply amazing. It captures the spirit of Dark Souls gameplay PERFECTLY.
You probably won't get through Sir Knight Artorias the Abysswalker with Straight Sword of Astora though

Iiiiiii dunno. When I first fought him it was on my first character NG+ save using a Divine Longsword (don't remember if it was +9 or +10). I think that's not toooooo different from a Straight Sword of Astora +5. The Astora Sword was a bit weaker at that point but I think on first NG cycle, the Astora Sword is pretty viable, it would just take 2-3 hits more or so probably?

Well OK granted he doesn't have as high HP on first NG but neither is player as skilled in fightning him, unless you repeat the fight a lot of times.
I only have one character in my DkS, I speed-rushed it to NG+7 where difficulty doesn't rise anymore, and just play some challenges that I make up, and goof around. I guess I've forgotten what NG1 felt like 
But one thing is constant, and that is; Artorias is the single most fun boss to play against, in the entire game. No matter your strategy, be it tanking or light, it's always fun.
