He lived in fear for most of his adolescence. A fear that was deep rooted in an isolated incident that he had been subjugated to in his youth. A freak fire had started in the savanna, one that had engulfed the plains in a violent wave of flames that took many lives and destroyed so much land. It was not something he tried to reflect on often, but it was part of him. Like an infectious disease, it had found its way deep into his heart, into his mind, and was always with him. It was painful, to say the least, losing his family at such a young age. And yet, he still persisted on. For so long, he struggled, barely surviving and feeding off any bits of morsels he could possibly find left behind both other carnivores kills. Watching other predators, he learned over time how to keep his own.

His best and most favorite thing to do, however, was run. It was something he learned, from that horrific experience, was to run. He was good at it. And thus, should any danger or situation that he could not tackle with his own paws should arise, he would resort to his nature. Run, little cub. Run.
