I messed up image quality big time at some point...this looks like a half dpi and yet it's almost 2 mb ... wth :' FAnyways, my usual way of drawing is doing a 'sketch' that's nothing more than a mess of ... I don't even wanna call it lines, to roughly determine where what is gonna be and then I paint over everything. This lead to me never really developing any feel for lines, so I decided to scribble a bit on real paper zomg to observe what happens.

These sketches are so lovely! The figures look like they have shape, form, and nice movement. Very classy as well, I always did have an affinity for more traditional works from back in the day (IDK OLD ARTWORK I'm not sure what to call it) over anime.

For whatever reason, I love the woman with the hat in the middle of row two. These sketches have a very vintage feel to them, but they're also fresh. Makes me want to pick up a pencil and start drawing.
