I never know how to categorize this type of drawing . It is a real pencil sketch that I added color to, in Photoshop.This is one of my personal Christmas cards that I get printed and frantically send out late each year.

Interesting creature! I would have never thought to put the two together. Does it fly, swim, or both? Also, I just got photoshop.. How do you color a paper drawing on there without totally covering up the original lines? Even if I attempt to make a top layer of the original lines, it ends up looking weird and crispy around those lines instead of smooth. Idk what else to do, lol. You seem to have mastered this.

Everyone's opinion seems to differ on how to categorize this kind of artwork. I usually make my decision based on where I think I spent the most time, or where I worked the hardest.

You could put it under traditional art/mixed media/whatever category you like, or, if you feel it's more digital then digital art/mixed media/whatever category you like. Mixed media is the key since you're combining techniques.
They're gorgeous, btw. I've really enjoyed seeing all of your uploads this week.
