Description Bug for *Tattered-Dreams because, well, because our four-legged babies are our children, and need some love too!

Hun, I know it's just a quick sketch (which I am not good at)... and hope I didn't slaughter her color or markings too badly (used the tumblr pic of her as a reference, for what I could see anyways). The cell shading is horrible. And I have no idea how to draw rabbits. Just wanted to let ya know I'm thinking of ya!

Done in PS (a "quick" sketch takes longer than I care to admit)

Aww, what a cutie!
She looks so lively; I can almost see her nose moving like she was sniffing and wondering who dares to approach her, ready to bounce if I reach my hand to pet her soft fur.

Thank you! I could have put so much more time into this (bunnies are way outside my comfort zone), but I wanted to get it done "quickly" (which still wasn't that fast) for Rachel. So I am very grateful for your wonderful words and comment.

You're welcome!
I think there is just perfect amount of details combined with slightly sketchy feeling!
Oh and don't talk about painting quickly - I cannot do anything decent with less than two hours!
And any bigger pictures will take double digit amount of hours...

Hahaha, I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who is crazy slow at art, then. I'm working on an image of Thanatos right now (the next step in his story), and honestly have been working on it (in bits and pieces) for 3 days. And yet, it still won't look as amazing as some of the super HARPG players here who can bust stuff out in 4 hours.

Oh well, practice makes perfect (or at least improvement, yeah?).

You're definitely not alone!
I have also one picture sitting on my computer: character has been ready for a while but background will take much more time.
Luckily weekend is coming and then there will be more time to draw. And erase. And draw again.
Waiting patiently improvement delivery to arrive...

LOL, I'm waiting (for improvement)... just not sure it's so patiently.

Oh my god - I honestly have no words for you. This is just amazing and I can't thank you enough. This is the third time I've literally burst into tears today, but this time its for a much better reason

Thank you so much, and quick sketch or not this looks just stunning and you got her colours and even her expression down perfectly! This just means the world to me ^^

I'll stopy now, because all I can think of is a million more thank yous and just wails over how perfect she looks. This just made such a draining day much better

I'm so glad that this could make you smile (LOL, or happy cry) if only for a moment in your stressful day. I know how hard it is, watching our loved ones as they struggle to recover, and I just wanted to make it a "little" better. It's such a hard thing to watch them go through. So I'm really glad that you like the pic! (and completely floored that you'd even consider putting it on your page... now the honor and gratitude goes completely from me to you!)

And I'm delighted to hear that she's eating a little bit again. I have faith that little Miss Bug can pull through this quite nicely.

You are so very welcome for everything... these little "babies" of our really do deserve all the love, attention, and prayers we can give them!

Its definitely hard (and you know you have to keep upbeat because they'll pick up on it if you're upset or worried, but having to be normal and positive is just even more stress - its a vicious cycle). This girl just means the world to me - she's not even four and I just can't remember not having her around. I'll watch TV with her on my lap, she'll follow me to the kitchen in case we have any carrots going and she licks my fingers when I go past her cage. I don't go on holiday if she can't come because I can't bear putting her in a boarding place (not that it's huge, because I'm not fond of holidays in general but...). So yeah, with me still job hunting, she's the living being I spend most time with. Yep, our babies deserve everything we have ^^

No one has ever drawn her before for me (I've never even tried it) so this definitely had to go on my page

So far its looking hopeful (thank God!) She's been munching somewhat steadily all evening and is now looking for food, too. She's licking her belly a lot (the shaved patch itches, bless her) and while its not ideal, there's not much we can do and it doesn't seem to be doing harm. I have to catch up on a full nights' sleep, soon, and then the morning will hopefully look brighter

Thank you again

It's amazing how perceptive the animals are... especially at reading us. You are right, we have to keep ourselves upbeat for them so they can just focus on healing. (Almost feel like a character in a novel, fighting the fear, tears and worry to be the "better" person to support another character).

And I understand about the holidays, I don't go anywhere that Keira can't come with me. She is just so anxious and high maintenance (special food and meds adjusted daily based on her symptoms), I couldn't handle not being there for her and making sure she's OK. I don't think a kennel would even accept her (which I could never do anyways).

Here's to hoping for an awesome night, and waking up to a "brand new" (aka healthy) girl tomorrow morning! Wishing you some good sleep and her some great healing!

That's pretty much it And its more difficult than you think it should be when it happens to you :\

Exactly that! And you may be right - some kennels won't take on an animal if it has so many requirements. But then, some have the staff to handle that kind of thing, too. Since we got Bug, we've only been away as a family for a week on a Narrow boat (which I would totally do again because I could genuinely live on a boat and be happy for life). But we did that because Bug could come, in her cage, and spend the week munching as usual and secured on the bed opposite mine at the end of the boat (our other rabbit at the time was ancient and he came, too). But other holidays, even if they sound good, I just can't go and leave her. It works out nice on occasion, though - my parents go away for the weekend and I get the house to myself, which is just as good

I definitely got some sleep and she looks good this morning - hard to tell if it's better or just the same, though. She's snoozing at the minute, so I'm just going to see if I can get anything done while keeping an eye on her

I'm glad you got some sleep and she's looking good this morning. Hopefully she's even perked up more now, and eating?

Tattered-Dreams In reply to ReQuay [2013-05-24 20:56:58 +0000 UTC]

Yep, she is. She was picking a bit this morning, but she's been eating somewhat steadily through the day, even if not as much as usual, so its looking better. She's got her check up with the vet tomorrow morning and they'll be able to ease some worries (I hope). But she's had her fibre dose and her painkiller so she's all set for the night, getting spoiled with piles of hay and shredded newspaper to munch and toss around (hopefully respectively XD). I doubt I'll stop worrying for a while yet, but I think *touchwood* we're out of the really tense period

Phew... now that I've survived my long work weekend, thought I should check back in for a Bug update and see how her (and your) weekend went as well?

Eating OK? Getting back to her fabulous fiesty personality yet?

Tattered-Dreams In reply to ReQuay [2013-05-28 16:50:35 +0000 UTC]

You're just amazing, I hope you know that Having had a long weekend of work and you stop to ask about Bug, so thank you

And I'm really relieved to report she is doing tons better! She's eating much more normally, scoffing down her hard food like her usual self, and she's back to munching on hay and attacking her water bottle. She's definitely acting normal, too - a little quiet at times, but that's to be expected. She's been leaping about (though I try not to let her while her belly's still tender) and she even growled the other day, so that bodes well I'm still being wary until the vet gives her a final check this Saturday and then she should be all clear. I'm just so relieved she seems to have pulled through fine.
