"Quit trying to act smug. You took way too long to subdue that thing."Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign fanart. Shiho Kimizuki. This not what I planned this painting to come out like at all. I was planning on using the same style for all of these, but the style I was using suddenly changed at the end of this one. It was fun, though.
Sorry, Kimizuki! The rainbows and glitter stuff just kind of happened! Glitter is scary, right? I'm not the only one afraid of glitter, am I?

Nice! With Shiho's hairstyle and twin swords, he kind of reminds of me of Shirou Emiya from the Fate Stay Night series.

I totally just finished watching that series! He kind of does, huh? Only Shiho's swords are attached to one another and can manifest a coffin. Shirou Emiya's swords are shorter and wider.

They have a very similar sounding name too; since FSN came out first, I wonder if whoever responsible for Kimizuki's character designed was inspired by Shirou Emiya?

I doubt it. There are too many differences. They just have twin swords, which are fairly common in the anime/manga world.
Kagami has too many characters whose names start with "Sh" in Seraph of the End. It is obnoxious to try and keep them all straight.

Probably. I guess Shiho reminds me of Shirou because of his hair and twin swords.

Awesome! I like how it turned out. I didn't think of the dots as glitter. I thought it was cool texturing. I kind of see the rainbow to the left of Shiho, but only because I looked for it. I like the gold highlights.
This is my favorite so far. Though Yoichi is a close second.

Hmm... I dunno. I think Mika's probably my favorite character, followed closely by Shinoa. I think she's probably the best female manga character I've come across in a long, long time.

Hmm I'm more of a fan of Shinoa and Shiho, but Mika's a good pick too. Mika's kind of a mystery. Everyone knows that he cares about Yu more than anyone else, but I'm curious to find out how loyal he is to the vampires and Krul

He's a complicated character that went through a ton of character development right off the bat. I really love character development, dark characters, and twisted scenarios. A lot of the things I tend to like have been pushed into Mika. He's a dark character who is slowly becoming corrupted but doing his best to remain pure by holding onto that one little thread of hope before he completely loses all reason to exist. He's become a powerful woobie, but all he wants is just to protect one person--the one person, it would appear, that he cannot get to and certainly cannot protect. I really respect his willpower that pulls him through the hopeless situation he's been dealt.
Shinoa is rapidly climbing into my favorites, though. Especially after that last chapter. She just feels very real. Not to mention, she's hilarious.
We haven't really learned too much about Shiho yet. I'm curious about how his set-up will develop.
