My fanart piece for Harry Potter, which does not include the title character at all. I'm sticking to my favorite characters here, and Remus Lupin is it. I'm not a fan of slash pairings or anything like that, although I don't mind them, but this is not meant to be a kinky scene. This is actually from an RP between friends, in which I was playing Lupin, Shad played Moody, and my girlfriend played an original character not pictured here. The game was set between books 5 and 6, with Lupin off doing his thing over the summer for the Order of the Phoenix. He came back close to the full moon only to find Snape was off busy and unavailable to make the usual potion. We figured they'd have a contingency plan in place, so he was spending the night of the full moon chained up in the attic, with Moody watching him from a safe distance just in case. My girlfriend's character had a house elf, who visited him during the transformation, but I just really liked the image of the two men sitting around in this ugly situation, waiting for the change to come over Lupin. Moody's glowering at you for opening the door at such a dangerous time.

I'm still a little worried that the contrast is too low and the whole picture is too dark, but I'm proud of the overall composition. Microns buried under many layers of prismacolor pencils. I only used black in the outer frame and a hint of it to firm up the corner of the wall.
