i love the emaciated (is that the word?) look as well as the pencil job. tho it is a little creepy, poor underfed evil kitty xp. Reminds me of, perhaps, Granny's cat from the Discworld book series (terry pratchett), the cheshire cat from the computer game American Mcghee's Alice and the zombie cat from the movie Pet cemetary (either one or two...)

I'm not really familiar with any of those references (though I do like Terry Pratchett's collaborations with Neil Gaiman), but it's cool--I'm glad you connected with the piece in that way.

This really is of Tim Buton's storybooks calibur! I love its evil-ness yet its simplistic linework that makes this almost logo-esque but part of some stylish comicbook.

everything is just dandy down here in Florida. In miami it was all minimal damage, only tipped trees and minor flooding. I lost power for a day, but i had fun with my family.
West Palm Beach got the worst of the storm, but that's waaay to the north of me. My uncle lives there, but he's staying with my family now.

Yes, kitteh needs some meat on his bones.

Mechanical pencils can be great tools. I go over my lines at least twice, so that helps to broaden them. I also make sure that I work with the lead at an angle, so that increases the thickness of the line too.

Thank you! Perhaps I will make a name for myself. It'd be great to have an art-related job. That's what I'm aiming for.

That would be great... I think it's every artist's dream to be discovered like that.

I'm going to be working on my portfolio once Dave and I are all settled in our new place. That should increase my chances of getting an art-related job significantly!
