I faved this awhile ago, but I keep finding myself coming back to it. Its a simple concept but it was executed sooo perfectly. Did you use chalk pastels for this? I'm trying to practice with other mediums besides my usual tablet + Photoshop from charcoal to colored pencils to pastels.

Thank you very much, dragonhalf13570 !! I used a white pastel pencil to draw this on a piece of black construction paper.I added a splash of color here and there with pastel chalk. I don't usually do such abstract artwork, but I think it DID turn out quite nicely.
I have had Blues in the Night made into an 11"by14" poster on glossy card stock. I put the title at the top and the saxophone/skyline blurb at the bottom.
If you would send me your address in a note, I will be happy to send one to you for free. If you are not comfortable giving out your address (which is a wise precaution...), consider having it sent to your parents' work address or wherever you might be more comfortable.

Yes...you accurately captured the mood! As I was browsing dA, the title of this piece got my attention and a second later I was hooked.
I've seen this scene often in Chicago...they create a lively, energetic yet thoughtful atmosphere as you stroll down the sidewalk
