Description After being rammed by the Regal Line liner Harpy in thick fog ,and taking on water at an phenomenal rate, the Mykol Sovereign plunges to the bottom in only 12 minutes, taking 1,242 passengers and crew with her.

The tragically few lifeboats that were freed from the sinking liner rescued some 247 survivors, which were later picked up by the liner Harpy.
