Wow! So, I'd been planning to maybe take a little break after finishing up the main 6 ponies from MLP:FiM, but after the amazing response I got about them at the beginning of the week I knew I had to finish up something quick as a thank you to all my new followers, so here we go!This time I actually kept track of how long I worked on the model, so here are some interesting statistics:
Total time (including sleeping, eating, etc) from gathering source images to final renders: 28 hours
Total time spent in 3dsMax: 9 hours 14 minutes
Total time spent in Photoshop: 2 hours 4 minutes
Total time spent actively working on the model: 11 hours 18 minutes.
Whew! It certainly didn't feel that long, but I have to remind myself that that's actually pretty fast for 3d modeling work, and I'm getting faster.

I know that there's already a Spike model that someone had released but yours is 5 times better then the one publically available and we really would like to have this Spike model be in GMOD instead of that other one.

Quite frankly, I don't see why people just settle with using it in Gmod instead of making actual games out of the resources instead.

*I can imagine that if this model did one day get released, it would make a great addition to becoming part of the V4 Overhaul Pack for SFM and GMOD

Good to see a girl modeler out there with as much heart and passion as you put into these things. If you need help rigging them for animation or something sometime let me know. could be fun. Makes me want to do some fun stuff.

All of these models are fantastic.
I love that you were able to texture them to look like the flat-flash-like style of the show. Though, did you render with lights or are the soft shadows painted with the rest of the texture?

I'm using a skylight to create the soft shadows. I suppose I could render them to texture, but they aren't currently.

Seriously! It seems like forever, but when you put 11 hours in a work week being able to say "oh a made this in a day and a half" is pretty impressive.

Hah! I would love to work at Hasbro. I would say that I didn't think they'd need a 3d artist, but I toured their HQ in Rhode Island back in 2008 and I think they had a 3d printer there... *3*
