I've used that ship a few times in my gallery... often in the background, but there are one or two closer views. Just cruise through my Trek sub-gallery and I'm sure you'll run across it.

I love doing those sorta "TOS slice of life" images.

Did you name this "All Along the Watchtower" because the song was used in the season 3 finale of Battlestar Galactica?
Either way, cool picture, very well made.

Well it was named for the song, but not for Galactica's use of it. Probably more for Dylan's version, than anything else: [link]

Dylan's version was the first I ever heard (thanks to my father's love of all good music) but I prefer Hendrix's version.
Again, amazing job with this image.

My stuff mentioned under the name of a Jimi Hendrix song is probably the greatest honor I could get! Thank you very much, man!

Yup - uber nifty model. Wmwconnors really came through for me, as I couldn't get a good working conversion until now.

I agree. Masao really nailed the Jeffries (retro TOS) look with this. Wicked neat!

Thanks. I wish I had more (non Class I) ship types to throw in there.

I don't think they'd plunk down that many credits for a station this big if they expected the world to end, next year.... Better to just take all that dough and blow it on Wrigley's Pleasure Planet!

Magnaman1234 In reply to RobCaswell [2011-04-26 17:23:20 +0000 UTC]
Sure they would - if they figured that space station wasn't part of the world (which almost literally it wouldn't be) and therefore would be a safe haven toride out the apocalypse until the establishment of "Kingdom Come". Even in the Star Trek Universe, you have your lunatic fringe (the episode "The Way to Eden" proves this).
As for Wrigley's Pleasure Planet, I always wondered if that was created by the descendants of the Chewing Gum industry. I kept imaining that all the sexy babes there were twis because of those stupid commercials (double your pleasure, double your fun...)
