Thanks! I'd agree - there's a definite beauty about her lines.

Truth! isn't it strange that she was originally supposed to be UPSIDE DOWN as opposed to the way we know her now, because Enterprise was suppose to be a lander! Couldn't imagine her like that now, BTW: Which one do you like? The original? The one from the
80's films or the Galaxy -class and the ST-NG offshoots?
Keep'em flyin'!

The original. Hands down. Though I really enjoy DEG's tweaks to it. He really respected the beauty of its lines while giving the detail it'd need to make the jump to the big screen: [link]

Inspiration? In 1986 i was in the Army stationed at Ft. Belvoir, Va.
when i wasn't at work my days off were spent running up and down the
East Coast saw a lot of good stuff, I packed my Canon 650 and took pictures through ALL the Smithsonian museums over in Washington D.C., Took an entire week all told, Went to the Aeronautics and Space building, while i was walking downstairs a child called out to his father and pointed up,
"Look dad its the Enterprise!" For some idiot reason i thought he
meant the first space shuttle, but its parked on the other side of the building, I looked up and there she was...All 9ft of her, hanging over my head, The model from the original T.V. show and a
Star Trek display off to the left side of the room!
I'll carry that moment to the end of my days.

That was before her PROPER restoration! You should see the old girl, NOW

But I know what ya mean. That first sight and realizing "there she is!".

Heh - no. I KNOW it's a lost cause. Too much talent, not enough opportunities. Besides, when it becomes pay it starts risking not being fun anymore.

Literally and figuratively? Man, having Aggi's Connie model sure has released my mental genie from the bottle. This is sort of the equivalent of me lying in bed with my AMT Enterprise, and swooshing it around, in hand, from different angles. Only I no longer have to imagine the backgrounds!
