Part one of a bigger commission for that involves the re-emerging of a familiar dark entity...

The stillness of the night was shattered by the light, yet unmistakable sound of heeled shoes meeting a smooth surface echoing throughout the vast, empty halls of the castle. And should anyone happen to look in order to perhaps see the source of these footsteps, their eyes would've caught the palace's highest member and the very ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom producing them. And should anyone care to observe further, they would've come to see that the princess was dressed in quite a peculiar fashion: far darker an attire than her usual clothing, as well as a far darker aura seemingly perpetuating all around her as she continued on. Eyes closed and face calm, as if kept in an unnatural sleep, Princess Peach continued on, each and every step bringing her further down the hall, seemingly going on and on to nowhere. Yet with each step, albeit unknown at first, the blonde royal found the haze clouding her mind beginning to fade. The nerves transmitting electrical surges to her brain as she walked alerted her that she, somehow, was indeed moving. The only question was, where was she, and even better, why?

Not the best prose in the world, yet I felt the comic needed something. Plus, personally, I like this format, as it makes it both easier to decide how to pace things, as well as having everything get a good amount of coverage where it doesn't feel as squished. Or it could just be that I suck as regular comic format.
