Description One of several unusual colors of staghorn cholla flowers that I have naturally occurring on my property. Almost all staghorn and buckhorn cholla flowers have a distinct gold or bronze cast to them. I happen to have several of each species that don't.

Thank you! Yes, I've always been facinated by the fact that such nasty hostile plants have such beautiful flowers.

Thank you, El Gato, my friend. I'm not too sure how well a cholla cactus would do in a tropical garden, probably too much water for it. It is a stunning color for a staghorn cholla flower, for sure.

I'm not really a flower person, but the colors are really beautiful. It looks as if a tiny pink hand with yellow fingers reached out from the middle of the flower.

Thank you, Maria! Or arms together with both hands cupped with yellow fingers. Yes, I really like my 'off" colored cacti flowers. Some are just exquisite and unusual colors.
