Not really, just afternoon sun usually between 2-4pm and stalking around the flower for the best position. Much later than 4-5pm adds a yellowish tint which increases the later it gets, earlier than 2pm tends to get sunglare which creates white splotches where it reflects off the flowers as cactus flowers are fairly waxy surfaced to prevent water loss. Of course, I had to learn the times to take them the hard way, trial and error.
