Ooooooh boy! I wanted to be done with this image 2 days ago but......the details, I'm an addict to details :3 Anyway, this is my contest piece entry for contest. This was an enjoyable piece for me to make but the skin on this took the longest amount of time to watercolor because I wanted to make her look dead as a vampire but not too corpse looking with some flesh tones on her. Plus, I chose to draw her because, she's a red-head, and a vampire....win win in my book!
Anyway, hope everyone enjoys it and I hope I'm just in time to get this into the contest before the deadline. This was done in all watercolor~

Oh my god o.o The detail in this piece is absolutely stunning! I love how she goes from being solid to disappearing via bats! It' awesome! I don't know if there is anything that can be said that hasn't been said already! This looks beautiful!

This is amazing. O.O The details... I can't even begin to imagine how long it took and how much thought when into this. I do find it interesting how the skin was the part that took the longest in relation to all the detail around it. Woweee, it definitely paid off. Good luck with the contest! I wish you all the luck.

Awww thanks~ Yeah the skin took the longest because I was trying to make sure the skin looked dead like a vampire, but also not blue or too rotting like. She is still a vampire so I had to make sure she had an ethereal beauty about her skin but still look like the undead. Yeah the details actually did pay off. The piece won 1st place. I was really surprised and flattered because I liked the semi-realism picture of Margerith that someone else did in the contest

Everying in this is incredibly flawless! 0v0 I'm especially blown away by the background- you were really able to nail the sense of scale and grandeur that you see in gothic architecture in a way that makes the character herself seem all the more charismatic and imposing!

I really love the inclusion of the bats and how they form into her dress, that's my jam right there. I love that kind of stuff in vampire pictures, and you nailed it!
