Description
After hiking through gateway national park for almost an hour, I finally found an osprey nest in the middle of a salt marsh near an ocean inlet. After about another hour of hiding in the reeds waiting for the birds to return, an osprey swooped in very quickly, followed by another soon after. I love shots where the bird is actually flying towards me, because it tells me I was the right distance away. Close enough to get the shot yet not too close to disturb the birds. This was shot around 6:45 in the morning, when the ospreys are most active. I know the nest is pretty soft, it's actually much further away from the bird than it looks, and is significantly into the foreground.
