Description Ok, please don't look at the derpiness of this, ok? I actually worked hard on this, so yay! Kid's first show with us! (and since he comes from an imaginary background, first show ever! ) So get ready to read a reaaaaaaaally long story!

The Kiawah Island trailer rolled down the driveway of Dragon’s Vine. Many other trucks were trying to get through too. Marianne, driving the truck, was certainly not happy with all the traffic. “Can we just run them over?” growled Marianne. Sloane, not even looking up from her papers for registration, replied “No…the horses wouldn't like the bumpiness.” Pauline was sitting in the back, with another new girl, Miranda. She was hired as a jockey last week so the three tall girls didn't get in the way of the poor Thoroughbreds. Pauline wasn't going to compete at this event, but she was going to be in charge of taking care of the horses to take some of the load off of the riders. In the truck were four horses: Rajah, Elmo, Kid, and Humble. Somehow all the stallions were all chill with each other, so there was no problem with them being all in the same trailer. They finally got to the show grounds. “Wait here, I’ll turn in the forms and find where we are supposed to go,” said Sloane as she hopped out of the trailer. “Pauline, come with me. When we find out where we’re supposed to be, you go get the stalls ready, and we’ll bring over the horses.” Pauline nodded, and followed the stable owner over to the office, which was filled with other competing barn owners. Marianne and Miranda waited for ten minutes, then the Sloane returned. “We are supposed to park over in that grass area, and we are in the boarding barn. Pauline’s getting it ready.” Marianne nodded, and drove over to the area. After unloading the horses and checking if there were any injuries, the girls lead the horses to the barn. Miranda lead Rajah, and Sloane got Humble and Elmo. Marianne hopped on Kid and simply steered with her legs to the barn. When they got to the barn, Marianne said, “I’m going to take Kid for a ride in that pasture over there, he is going to be competing for the first time with us, and I want to make sure he is in top condition.” Sloane nodded, then took off his lead rope, and handed it to Marianne. She looped it around his neck. “Remember, we are competing at around noon with him, so don’t work him too hard.” Sloane patted his shoulder. “Also, we couldn't find his hackamore, so we’ll just use a normal bit on him.” Marianne nodded and cantered off towards the pasture. Sloane then turned around and went to work cleaning the horses.

After everything was done, Marianne returned. “He was good. A few other competitors were out there, and the owners put out some practice jumps for us.” She leaned down and patted the stallion. “He was great, though I wish I had a saddle for those large jumps!” Sloane tossed her the tack. “Awesome. Now tack up your horse, you’re riding in half an hour!” Marianne immediately saddled the Thoroughbred and put him in his stall, leaving the bridle for a little later. Then she scurried to the trailer to change into competing cloths. After 10 minutes she came running back, hair flying. That’s when Sloane tackled her. “Oh no. You’re not going in there ponytailed. Pauline! Get a hairnet!” Marianne groaned and allowed the two to put the net on. When the helmet was fastened, Marianne got into the stall and hopped on Kid, then came trotting out. “MARIANNE!!!!” Yelled Sloane. Marianne immediately halted, and turned around. “You forgot your bridle” Miranda popped out of nowhere and slipped the bridle on the large Thoroughbred. “All set!” She patted, and then trotted towards the arena.

The three girls walked to the arena and went up into the stands. Sloane went and talked to the other owners, complimented their horses, and apologized for Marianne’s over use of the horn coming into the stable! Once everyone was settled down, they watched the competitors. Many amazing horses were performing, and jumped their best. Eventually Marianne and Kid were in the arena. The three girls leaned forward, and held their breath. This was their first show with Kid, and they hoped it would go well. Kid went into a canter and approached the first jump. Kid raced forward and cleared it with ease. He continued the course like he’d been doing it all his life. He then exited the arena with the crowd applauding. The three girls stood up, and raced over to the two. “That was amazing!! Good job!” said Pauline. Miranda glomped her, and Sloane gave Marianne a kiss on the cheek. “Come on, let’s watch the rest of the competitors!” They all went to the fence and continued to watch. Pauline slipped off Kid’s tack, and gave him a treat. Then hopped on to get a better view! After the competition, they all went back to the guest stables, excited for the next day.
