Yay!! I got second!! [link]

So I'm finally just gonna submit this. I drew this for Zone 4 Region 5 Finals, so it's all hunter-jumper-y. I know that the jump might seem a bit high, but this is 2'6" class. Also, the reason that there isn't a course in the background is because this is supposed to go on T-shirts, so I was asked for a simple background. Hopefully I won't get too many points off for all of this. :/

The trailer rattled down the road to Golden Oaks Equestrian, headed to Killer's first competition. Marianne glanced at the rear-view mirror back at the trailer. She saw through the window Killer looking back at her. He was a little nervous, and he was allowed to be. Marianne had competed before, but she was still nervous as well. As she pulled up to the stable, and unloaded Killer. She came alone, just her and Killer, so there was a lot of work for her to do. She was determined to do as best as she could. Killer pranced out of the trailer, holding his head high. He looked around at all the other horses. Why was he here? What was he going to do? Marianne led the stallion to one of the owners of the stable, and soon figured out where to put the horse and got everything sorted. The next day she was at the barn bright and early. "Ready boy?" She smiled at the stallion, who sniffed her, checking for treats. She spent the next few hours pampering him and making him shine. When she was finished, he was one of the most handsome horses there, if I do say so myself! She got dressed in her show outfit, and hopped on. She asked one of the officials at the show if she had enough time to go for a quick ride before the class. After getting permission, she went to one of the unused arenas and hopped over a few cross-rails to prep the horse. The chestnut jumped them with ease, eager to perform. After she finished, she walked back over to the waiting area for her class. Her name was called, and she entered the arena. Her heart pounding, she urged Killer into a canter, and approached the first jump. Right before the jump, Killer threw his head up, and almost refused, but glided over the jump with ease. Hoping the judges either didn't see that, or hoping that they saw that she had good control under pressure, Marianne carried on through the jumps. After she finished, she reached down and hugged the stallion. He had just completed his first show! Marianne hopped off, and gave him some Gatorade, and waited to see what place she got.
