traumarei suggested the idea to me, and it eventually grew on me! There wasn't official art for a genderbent Norway at the time, so it was just for fun. I made the skirt in a couple days, and cut & styled a wig to how I would kind of want a female Norway's hair to look like.photo by :

1) where did you get the hair pin?

I made the hair pin myself, out of thin piece of wood that I cut out and spray painted.
The scarf is just fabric that I folded to look like the art... and the bottom part of the tie is another piece of fabric wrapped around the ends. I'm not sure if that makes sense!

I just have to say I normally dislike genderbended designs for Norway with long hair (don't exactly know why), but I like the way you styled this wig. The colour/wavyness/length looks very natural and suits the character, unlike a lot of styles that pin a platinum blonde waist-length Poker Face wig on her. Very cute!

Thanks! I personally prefer shorter hairstyles for girls too, but the problem is if I had gone with that, I would've looked way too similar to my male Norway cosplay... The wig I bought was the exact same color as my male!Norway wig. (I... was trying to avoid looking like male-Norway-in-a-skirt haha.) And yeah, for a longer hairstyle, I didn't want it to be one of those unnatural-looking super straight styles!

That asides, I actually think you look adorable dressed like that! I approve~ And I'm sure I'm biased, but I'm so glad you kept the top out - instead of tucking it in. I like how it looks as it is right now
And don't worry about the whole femme thingie... SOMEDAY... I will do a femme!Scotland..... actually, the only thing stopping me is the need to get a second wig and dye THAT one too to match his/her hair color >__>

And yeah, nothing wrong with altering the hair color a bit, I noticed a lot of Himaruya's official femme characters have slightly different color hair anyway!

Haha, yeah, femme!Scotland is pretty much on my list now - along with femme!Wales and Siren XD
I've noticed Himaruya does tend to alter the character's hair color occasionally when he gender-bends them, so I think I can get away with doing it too for my Scotland OC. Would be nice to get a decently dark-brown-ish wig with just a hint of red in it and NOT have to murder a pack of red sharpies (thus staining my hands, staining my clothes and staining the world red!!) to achieve Scotland's dark-auburn hair color ~_~

It's okay, I kind of cheated, was wearing shorts underneath, but that was also because it was really cold that day. But grabby hands at my skirt just reminds me of when you tried on my kilt for the first time, and I bent down to grab the ends to check how it fell length-wise, only to not realize what I was doing until you backed away going D: !!!
And yes you should totally do a fem!Scotland. XD

Glad that by the time we went to con during the second weekend, I was so used to you doing that, that I even started asking you to check my frills for me every time I returned from a trip to the bathroom or every time I got up after sitting down for a while :<
I'm still planning my fem!Scotland design. I really want to do it now, and yes, I'm so going to use my Saltire umbrella with that cosplay. My fem!Scotland will share her umbrella with your fem!Norway~
