So I was watching Nightmares and Daydreams (a.k.a. "Mike and Brian were smoking something when they wrote this"), and I was at the part where they were trying to get Aang to sleep. I thought to myself, "Why doesn't Katara just offer to share her sleeping bag with him?"And then I thought to myself, "Because this isn't some hormonal teenager's fanfiction."
But the thought was kinda cute, so I allowed myself to draw it under two conditions:
1. It had to be obvious it was a cute/fluffy scene, and not something perverted.
2. Aang's expression had to be hillarious.
I accomplished the first by sticking Aang's feet out of the blanket so it'd be obvious he DIDN'T forget his pants (again). The second took care of itself. XD

I was just watching this one the other day, and that exact thought bugged me the whole time! Why didn't Katara just cuddle with him? All he needed was someone to snuggle with and keep the nightmares away, even if only in a motherly/big sister sort of way. Only two episodes earlier they were emphasizing how the whole team thought of her as a mother figure, at least to some extent.

so adorable! and the look on Aang's face is priceless! he's still all paranoid even if katara's trying to comfort him! "Nightmares and Daydreams" is by far one of the funniest episodes in the entire series (except maybe Sokka on cactus juice, but that was supposed to be an emotional episode)

When Katara said "Aang, sleep. For me?" she was totally trying to use her charm to encourage Aang (because worked in the past, and she was out of ideas). Flirtatious Katara is flirtatious.

Great picture!!!!! And I totally agree that Mike and Brian were smoking something when they wrote this b/c this was the weirdest epsisode EVER! I have to admit though, It was quite entertaining to see Appa and Momo fighting with Samari Swords, that was funny.

Must admit, I like Katara's face better than Aang's; Aang's funny, don't get me wrong, but I have a thing for affectionate/emotional faces. Aang looks too worried, although it is rather amusing how shocked he looks.

I was laughing SO HARD at that episode! It must have been fun writing and animating it because it really just seemed like it was FINALLY Mike and Bryan's chance to be totally utterly completely random with no explanation whatsoever.
