But there he was, standing defiant in that green armor. And he just.. Stood there for a moment. Strapped head to toe in gear picked up off of the dead. I caught a glint of his energy shields, a brief aura of light surrounding this fearless soldier. And for that moment he looked like a God, come to save us all."

Best when paired with the Halo 2 soundtrack "Earth City." I was definitely thinking about Halo 2 while making this one.

Scene set in Garry's Mod, lovingly edited in GIMP. Approximate total time: 2 hours 30 min

Fun fact. That energy sword was a BITCH to do. I have two images, one without the energy sword and one with the energy sword, just to go that extra mile so you can sort of see it's a bit translucent and to help give it that weird and vibrant glow. Worth it.

And that shield is some medieval (possibly Elder-Scrolls related somehow) shield I found, oddly enough, in a pack of Halo-related weapons and suddenly thought about my material tool. If I do that again, which I probably will, I'll work in some sort of wrist device that looks more-or-less canon.
