Monitor skin Yea, I know he's like .. a prince of the dragons, and viewed as a dragon himself, but the dragons are different from the Monitors, or the 'Ferals' as they call them, even if they are the same species. Dragons are intelligent and Monitors aren't, and there's bad feeling between them, so Lutran's dragon friends don't care that he wears Monitor skin. Also, it's the equivalent of a bullet-proof vest, seeing as arrows can't pierce it, or at least not very far.

Thanks ^^  Yea, the otters are always a lot of fun to draw .. (in my version of Redwall) most otters, at least southern holts, wear clothes inspired by swimwear, even their armor, because they often use rivers to their advantage in battle. Mobility is key. Their skirt or tunic hems also normally have a fish-tail design, and their clothes are always in their Holt's colors. (Holt Lutra's color is green) The tattoos are specific to Lutra as well, their symbol (a squiggle with six circles) represents the river Moss (which they lived by) and the six pearls. Females also streak their hair with their Holt's colors.

Of course, Holt Lutra was destroyed almost nine seasons prior to this picture, so Grath's clothes (which were actually her older sister's) are in disrepair, and Lutran's are long gone, replaced with a Monitor skin tunic of his own making

But yea, all the Holts have a unique color and tattoo, and a slightly different flair to their clothing designs. (the reason some of my otter characters have differing tattoos, that symbolizes which Holt they belong to)

Welcome! Heh, wow, you put so much thought into all of this! That's really awesome, I like it when people put a lot of thought and effort into designs like that. It's "world-building", y'know? And that's always fun.
