Full disclosure, it's a digital illustration   I stole the pencil from a different artist and photoshoped it in!!!

I have been collecting artwork that I like for some time now. This particular style is something that I have always wanted to try but never got around to doing it. I got a bit lazy today and did not want to do something crazy and over the top. A more rougher style seemed appropriate   But I still wanted it to look cool. I found this artist on DA that does these types of illustrations...but like properly illustrated traditionally. I stole her pencil - Ladowska . I tried to mimic her style in this drawing. It is not quite as lovely as hers but it is a decent effort I think. I would love to do more illustrations like this in the future.

On a side note, I have been really interested in the woosh!!! My batman cape in my previous illustration go woosh!! Now sailor moon's hair also go woosh!!! I think I have seen so many artists do amazing artworks and they have this cool effect and so I have been meaning to add it in my artwork in some way. I am pretty happy with this

On an even more side note, I tried to leave my previous rough illustration so it looks like there is a rough underneath. I also changed the color of the canvas to look more paper-ish. I also added noise on the canvas to look more realistic. I lowered the opacity of the linework to seem more pencil like. I do think there are a lot of parts that give it away tho. I just really liked the style and so I wanted to mimic it. I do not even have a pencil like this so I had to steal it. I regret nothing!!
