Description This drawing was done for a client who is a customer for my family's place of business.

The vehicle is a 1965 Shelby G.T.350, a very rare vehicle. Unlike other Ford Mustangs, and differing variants, I have seen, this one had a nice, slab-like shape to it. There were many variants of the G.T.350 built across many model years. The 1965 models seem to be the most prominent.

Drawing a white car against a white background is not easy. My original plan was to color the white car as dark as possible, but still maintain a bright overall look so that it looks white. It did not work out too well, and the background could have used a bit more depth. So, I took a 6B graphite pencil and added in the background shading. This has created a lot more depth and help the white car jump out from the white background.

Many other artists seem to heavily rely on blue, if they ever draw and color a white car. It is best to draw a bright colored car against a dark background and vice versa, to get the best effects, especially realism.

The Shelby was drawn on 100lb bristol board and colored with Prismacolor pencils.

Wonderful! The proportions and perspective are perfect. I love the way you did the detailed chrome parts like wheels and bumpers.

Hey! To me, no artwork is a piece of crap.

There's always an acceptation, just like the fact that I'm not a fan for Fords or Mustangs but this one I'll have to make an acceptation and add it to my faves because of how well it was done.
