The hardest part about Alanna is trying to make her androgynous. It's too easy to make her look like a girl...I got the idea for the tunic from the manga Claymore and all their fancy sword symbols haha. I quite like this version of page outfit...it's kinda "anime" ish, no?

In terms of it being blue:
During the reformation of the King's Own by Knight Commander Lord Raoul of Goldenlake, the Own adopted the current standard colors of blue-and-silver. The uniform tunics of the Pages in Training were changed to crimson during the time of Lady Keladry of Mendelan's training.
Haven't yet decided how Lightening should be, so just a sketch for now. Feel free to post suggestions/references!

I have to admit this is my favorite depiction of Alanna. She could easily pass for a boy but shes feminine at the same time. This is like so awesome!
Lol the cat looks kinda funny though. i woulda drawn it more "serious" looking if you know what i mean.

lol dont worry i cant really draw them either. the best way to go is to make up our own animals that look way better then real ones.
lol i once had a test where i was supposed to draw me and a animal together. i drew a Cat/panther/tiger/wolf thing.
