Description OMG!!!!! I finally finished it!
my various midterms and assignments made it kinda difficult, but it's finally done!
WOOO!!!!

I went to my [wonderful] university's library the other day.
I don't know what I was expecting, but it certainly didn't look like this. I suppose scientists, mathematicians and engineers are satisfied by tightly crammed, beige, metal bookshelves. They don't need comfy chairs in which to sit and read late into the night, or tables around which friends can huddle for some last minute studying.
I was disappointed.

bah, who am I kidding? Until I find a Hogwarts library, I'm never going to be satisfied

I must give some credit for the outfits to the wonderful people at LookBook, whose various pictures inspired these.. It's a wonderful resource for those [like me] who have no fashion sense to speak of... I encourage all of you to check it out.

Done with ink, various alcohol based markers, and colored pencil.

The beige one is part of the book finding system. You open it and ask the man living behind it to help you find a book. If you do it without blinking, he'll give you a riddle, the answer to which will help you find the book. If you blink, well... just don't.

The blue one leads to Fillory.

I always pictured the ladders like the staircases in harry potter. The ladders grow and move around the library at will, making navigating the library slightly more interesting...

aren't I though?

Did you know that Stephen Fry is the last person alive today who knows why the answer is 42?

Not true: Douglas Adams apparently explained why in 1993: [link]

This is amazing ... So many interesting details. I really like the ladder (great imagination!) but I am particularly impressed by the simple shadows on the floor which is so well done. Wow...
