Description The Messiah first emerged on the scene as the leader of a growing religious cult called "The Wayward Lambs". Any troubled souls who were "burdened by demons" could come to one of his gatherings where he would cleanse your soul of them. While many would come with skepticism in their head, all doubts are gone when they witness him literally pulling demons out of person, their grotesque appearance frightening them. He would then battle these demons with his "divine powers", destroying them and being praised by his followers, with the cleansed victims often joining his ranks. While the Messiah may seem to be the answer to everyone's prayers, he is nothing more than a false prophet, a devil in disguise, a scammer, who manipulates them for their money and their absolute loyalty. For he is actually an enhanced being with the power to manipulate illusions. (He will be part of the second wave of enhanced beings.) He does this by creating a mental field around him that spreads out in wide radius, anyone who is in that field is susceptible to seeing the illusions the Messiah projects upon them. He often uses these illusions for easy money schemes, such as the cult, who will gladly donate money to his "Holy Cause." While it may seem like harmless smoke and mirrors, his illusions have a more sinister feature to them. If someone were to learn of his secret or if he needs to eliminate a threat, permanently, the illusion can be powerful enough to actually kill an individual. This is not done by the illusion itself however, but by the illusion literally convincing the brain to copy anything that happens to the victim within the illusion. Now, while his illusions are impressive, he is hardly invincible. Those with strong minds or an awareness of the illusions can shatter them and while they are very convincing at times, they can be inaccurate to the point where you realize they are not real, such as Messiah forgetting to add shadows to his creations. His illusions can also be exposed by looking through something such as a camera phone or security cam. Once you see through his deception, he is merely a man and can easily be beaten in a physical fight. However, if the illusions don't work, he will often rely on the support of his loyal fanatics, who will defend their leader to the bitter end. While he may not be the most powerful villains, the Messiah should never be underestimated and his illusions will drive you mad if you are not careful.

Love the cult costume. He might even be a better Mysterio than Mysterio. (Mine doesn't really count as his illusions are real.)

Wouldn't that make them constructs or summons? An illusion, by definition is something that isn't what it appears, not real.

Again that's why my guy doesn't count. Honestly if I have a more legit Mysterio anywhere he's probably an Iris Clan member.
