Description
A fairly old image that I dug out and reworked recently. Because it's old, the structure isn't perfect. Tried to use a color palette that I am not very familiar with, and make it look a little sickly and off. My opinion is divided on whether or not it worked.Originally a cloth study, it quickly became an exercise in patience.

I love how the colores drew me in and the mask as well. This is verry well done, it has a relaxing yet mysterious feel to it!

I think it looks like a bright spring green light reflected off foliage as opposed to sickly. I like leafy light so I still think the atmosphere is wonderful even if it might not be what you were going for.

Lovely details, and those warm shadows are a great choice. I really dig those little bits where the white of the backlighting and the foreground run together... great optical treat.

the high contrast is weird. i thought there should be a little bit more medium tones in the pictures unless it was intentional...

Do you think that median tones would improve the picture? Why do you think the contrast is 'weird'? I'm just curious because no one else has mentioned this, even in any other of my high-contrast pictures. The color scheme is supposed to be strange and vaguely unnerving, but I'm interested in why contrast is off-putting.

yeah maybe. I think it is just because the high contrast makes it look like the effect of flash when everything is white out and all the nice details get blown away.

This is amazing...love the red and gold. The mask and outfit reminds me of a ring leader (suits his manipulative nature) and he doesn't seem to be living in a broken down building anymore haha.
