Description This piece explores the perceived beauty of a glamorous model, which is made imperfect by the chaotic child drawings behind. However, is not the innocent 3 year old drawing a truer form of beauty?

Black ballpoint portrait drawn over colour pencil doodle (courtesy of my 3 year old daughter).

This is really sweet - I've had my 4 year old granddaughter finish pictures for me (NOT with my permission - haha), but never thought to draw over one of her drawings.

Super cool idea and what a great collaboration!

Thanks Lonny. The concept is a work in progress but I think I might be on to something and can see a lot of potential

This is such a great concept.
Couldn't agree more, I love the idea of a collab between mother and daughter, simply beautiful!

thank you so much. It is a new concept I am developing so there is a long way to go but I do love the idea of immortalising my child's youth through her drawing

Interesting idea, im in agreement with you too. And i think only a 3yr old can draw like that too, if i tried to emulate that it would look so fake. Was it Picasso who obsessed with trying to draw like (as) a child? .. i forget now, could be wrong

Thank you, it is an idea in its infancy (excuse the pun) but I think it has potential. I completely agree that it would be impossible for an adult to imitate a child drawing as even with the placement of a single mark or line a good deal of thought would be given. Not sure if it was Picasso but I dare say many artists have explored this concept over the years. Alas, no art is ever truly original

It's perfect! Great collaboration Ladies, Hooray Teamups !

Having teamed up with a 7yr old before within this genre of art I profess to safely say its quite under-appreciated .

hey there, thanks for the message. I love these pieces. I actually have a similar idea in mind to ask a child to draw a portrait next to one I have drawn. Isn't funny how many similar ideas we have yet our work is so very different!
