Ziarre is the Goddess of the Sky. Like the sky she has two personalities, night and day. As all myths go, they will eventually get her in trouble.Wooh, I love this character. My very own goddess. Couldn't resists. She's very shiny.

I really like this one too! And since you asked for a critique I will try my best to ablige, but I don't really think you need one all that much.
The image itself is very well balanced and very well designed, (though the upper leg position does seem jsut a tad awkward) the only thing I could really say critique-wise is on the coloring. As far as coloring goes, you're still good, but just a couple steps away from top-notch. (which I'm not either btw, just so you don't think I'm being mean or anything 
Try to push things as far as you can without having them seem awkward to you, then after that, add the sharper shadows and the brightest highlights. And, if you really have trouble judging which colors to use, you can always try doing the whole layer in shades of complete grey, then adjusting the color balance in the image options until you're satisfied. (that is if you use photoshop, Idunno about other programs) That way you aren't thrown off by tricky skin colors.
Aside from that, and this might be a stylistic point on your part, but there are certain areas of your colors that kind of bleed, in or out of their given lines. While this is seen in areas of the feathers, the rings on the dress are probably the best example of this in the piece. Assuming they're metal, you'll want to use much sharper colors to make a definitive texture and very extreme highlights. Then, possibly adding in some reflection from the clothes and/or the skin around them would polish things off nicely. The key though, is that they should be sharp lines. Not necessarily black, but bold at the least. Otherwise it won't seem like the right kind of surface. If I'm not explaining myself very well, I suggest also googling up some pics of metal objects just to study how light reflects off of them. It helps, really.
Hmm, I always feel like I'm coming off mean when I critique another's artwork, and I really don't mean to.
I just also want to stress the fact that i really like this work here. It has a wonderful composition and I think the blue shades really fit the feel of the lineart. The little details such as the cloud tatoos make for a nice touch, and the attention to detail in the hair is rather astounding. I just feel that when people ask for it, I should really try to put my thoughts into possibly helpful words, because people on DA don't utilize that function enough. (as far as I've seen) Positive/generic comments are nice, and uplifting, but sometimes I feel as if we're all missing out on a great opportunity to improve when people who have something to say don't say anything.
Keep up the good work now. ( and don't hesitate to critique any of my works either)

Beautiful. The reason I came to DA was solely for improvement purposes. I needed some artist feedback. Around here I get lots of those "OMG You sooo roxorz." types of things so I was hoping for people like you. The funniest thing is that you critique like I do. Ya say what you think and then stress that you don't hate them XD. Yeah.
I would LOVE any tutorials you've found. I'm just kinda stumbling in the dark on some of these things and anything you can provide would be a proverbial godsend. Particularly on the metal, like you said. I really have no idea what I'm doing on those I just kind of do as much as I can at that point. The reflection thing is a very good point. I'll have to mess with those a little more.
As for variation of skin color, I've been trying to work on that. I think I did better on my most recent one, this one was kind of an experiment in cell shading so I didn't stress so much over it. I still have some work to do, it always makes me nervous to work in too much contrast skin wise.

[link] toot for preparing scanned lineart for CG. I use this technique so i can mess with the line afterwards. There are other ways to get similar effects, but none I've seen work quite as well.

I'd check out this guy's whole gallery. His ladies may be under-dressed, but his coloring is rather impressive and his tutorials have lots of fun little photoshop tips. Plus, he's kind of nice to a fault. He gets a bazillion comments and always seems to reply to them all.
As for a tutorial on metal, I seem to have misplaced it.
