Description
Took some pictures to visualize a new setup in my apartment. I want to hang all my pelts together on one wall, rather than have them scattered. Plus, the pelts set up near our bettas seem to be stressing the fish out
. Kiwi's fish hates change.All are non-mountable save for the first coyote. Each one has been a great educational tool for may artwork and love of animals. I'm hoping to take them to a few seminars at my college, since we have a large biology program here. I've got two more to come: a black coyote and an American badger. Both of these pelts will be mounted however so they won't need a hook on the wall.
If you want any details on a certain pelt feel free to ask. I love sharing their stories to anyone who's willing to listen

You've greatly insulted my religion and my race. I'm Cherokee, and I practice shamanistic rituals. I have prayed for each animal to ensure that their spirit was at rest and ok with being part of this collection. Don't talk to me about "disrespect" unless you have prayed and meditated over each animal's remains to ensure that their spirit is ok with being a specimen. I've had pelts and parts with spirits that were uncomfortable and restless, which I proceded to burn the remains so that they could rest in peace. Oh, and btw, each animal's remains is used as an EDUCATIONAL tool. I take them to presentations about population control, genetics and evolution. They are greatly respected in my household. Please don't act like you know a damn thing about the "spirit of animals." If you were anyway in tune with the spirits, you would know that each one of these creatures is happy with me.

Please accept my appology. I haven't been in touch with an animal spirit in a long time. Im actually Cree. I feel so so bad for what i did. I hope i can make it up to you. I would have rather died than did what i did. I have greatly insulted a friend! Im horrible... horrible! Please, is there anything i can do to make it up to you? I hope we are still friends.

Please, be more careful when you comment on the taxidermy community's artwork and collections. Many of the DevintArt members who own animal parts are shamans and pagans. They're not just collecting, they're preserving nature and the beauty of the animals. Trust me, no one on the taxi community just goes out, kills animals and mounts them without a care in the world. The pelts purchased have traded hands a few times and end up with us by sheer will of the universe. They are cared for and respected. Taxidermy is not disrespectful to the spirit, I can assure you. You know how you go to museums and see all those tigers and bears and wolves mounted? That's the same thing I'm doing, preserving animals that have already died so that they can be loved and appreciated after their death. Recently, many people have attacked me and others in the community, treating our way of life and insulting our animals. The whole community has been on edge this week so I apologize if I was short with you. I love these pelts, I truly do, and I would never do anything to disrespect their spirits (they'd get angry if I did XD).

XD And those pelts r pretty... and i know u (sort of) so i believe thay r in good care. Oh, and do u have an animal spirit (or totem, whatever you call it. XD)

Everything I own is a male, except one fox for a commissioner and one fox of my own. XD All my coyotes have been male!

lol Yeah, for some reason I've attracted all female coyotes and all male foxes so far XD! I thought Hera was male at first, but when I learned how to sex a pelt, I found out she was female XD!

I wish I could have a female coyote! A really light colored one..or a black one. Oh man! Ive always wanted a yote soft mount, and the one pelt I have is WAY too big for a soft mount. Hes like a small wolf. xD

I adore those three greatly, especially the red fox. He has a sad backstory, but happier end to his tale. He's one of the ones I took to my old school. The kids love him.

Some jerks beat him half to death and broke his jaw. The fox was taken to a veterinary clinic, but he was so badly injured they had to put him down

Animal abuse is a big problem in my state so I'm very willing to do lectures on the subject. Even if I only change one person's mind, that's one less person hurting animals. I guess that's why I'm always so defensive of my pelt collection. I don't like being compared to those people. Heck, two years ago, we fostered some puppies who were starving and abandoned in our neighborhood. They have a great home now

I don't like it either when they accuse me of killing animals. I could never do that. Animals fascinate me, alive and dead.

Exactly. If you truly love animals, you can love them alive or dead. And half the time, people buying pelts have nothing to do with the cause of death of the animal. Most are second or third hand pelts.
Apparently, Chance was rummaging through garbage or something, but that doen't give them the right to beat him up. They could have easily chased him off if he was bothering them. They didn't have to break his jaw

I think you should hang them so that the bigger/longer ones are in the middle and they get smaller as they go out or vice versa since you only have one squirll

I also have a small fox skull, a small set of deer antlers, and another set of antlers that Idk what type of animal it come from. Plus the mryster antlers are from 1917.

I have some furs but they are not full furs.They dont have the head, legs, or tail.
