Thanks! Software called DAZ Studio (can download it for free at daz3d.com) and then you place objects or people in the scene, pose them, set up camera and lights and then render. There's tutorials on the website too. Bear in mind that my renders aren't done in Studio, but through a plugin called Reality, which outputs to an open source render engine called Luxrender.

Thanks for explaining. It's still kind of over my head though it makes more sense to me now. It just looked like you photographed a doll. If I had a better computer, I might want to take a crack at it just for fun.

Thanks, Vashek! The skirt is actually the Optitex dynamic tablecloth, set to collide only with the studio prop and Lee's pelvis.
