I can't remember what they are called but think they were in freebies section of Renderosity - I used two pairs for this render

absolutely love the wings.. How do you get Reality to work so well?

Wow. I know nothing about this kind of work. How did you do it?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Silas3D In reply to angiee45 [2013-01-18 07:02:54 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! Software called DAZ Studio (can download it for free at daz3d.com) and then you place objects or people in the scene, pose them, set up camera and lights and then render. There's tutorials on the website too. Bear in mind that my renders aren't done in Studio, but through a plugin called Reality, which outputs to an open source render engine called Luxrender.

Thanks for explaining. It's still kind of over my head though it makes more sense to me now. It just looked like you photographed a doll. If I had a better computer, I might want to take a crack at it just for fun.

although it helps to have a powerful machine its not compulsory. Just have a play and teach yourself at your own pace, is the best way! As long as you enjoy it in the process

He's such a gorgeous character! Nicely composed scene with those wings... and I like that special skirt!

Silas3D In reply to AbsolutVaklav [2012-10-24 06:40:52 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, Vashek! The skirt is actually the Optitex dynamic tablecloth, set to collide only with the studio prop and Lee's pelvis.
