Description
A "sketch" request forDart is bored with school and all of its assignments and really wants to escape. I mean, c'mon! Who would not be mad with that when the weather outside is fantastic and you have to sit on your ass in a stuffy classroom?
Please, if you have a few minutes to spare, write a critique on this work. Help me improve as an artist!
Done in Ps CS5, using Wacom Bamboo A6 Wide.

First of, I have to thank you for doing such a good job with me.
Down to the details! The building is good, very good, and actually looks like a school building. What it lacks though, is shadows. I see some in the window, but take for example the flagpole, which has no shadow can prove to be a drawback to the quality of the piece. The lighting on Dart is a lot better and has some thought behind it. Lighting takes time to perfect, and even I need work with it so don't worry too much about it.
The bush in the middle is a nice background touch, but it looks like it also needs shading. It also could be taken as a green blob for it's little dimension. Try playing with a few more effects and adding more colors to make it come to life.
The anatomy you applied to Dart is really good. Especially the hands. Hands are hard to draw and perfect the anatomy of but they seem to be one of your strengths. The head is good and actually looks wolfish. The only anatomy struggle I see is that the shoulder and upper arm seems to be undefined.
Your signature stamp in the lower right corner is very nice. It's a fun way to sign a piece and adds a personal touch of yours. Over all, a very well done piece. Thanks a million!

You're welcome, John! Well, you know how it usually gets - it starts as sketch, then you make the line art (the clock is already showing 4:13AM), and you simply can't resist coloring it all

Its really detailed. Every single inch of this artwork is filled with intricated (or not so much) detailing. The building, the fur, the wall. Colours are well balanced and don´t confuse too much between eachother. Maybe the sky it´s too uniform -too blue, but for the rest you can see a good mix of handmade art and computer work.

Hey, would you look at that, I appear to have a few minutes to spare 
So, first of all, great job! You get an A+ for the day for coloring and over all technique. The fur looks great, and you did good on the coloring. And WOW look at that background! That could be a single work in itself.
There are a few things that I did notice that you can still improve on though. The biggest thing being Dart's arms, which are disproportionately thick. And he doesn't really seem to have much going on in the shoulder department... Apart from that though, I don't really have any other problems with this.
Over all, I'd say I'd give you 4 out of 5 starts, if i could. Taking off one just 'cause of the arms. Keep up the good work, man!

Да я делаю его слоями, у меня не со слоями проблема, а в принципе с наложением тени - могу одну тень раз 40 переделать и всё равно остаться недовольным =/
