Description
The evil/chaotic antagonist of another of my stories; this is Nax, from the post-Pangaea story Tanin.Don't let the delicate look decieve you - this androgynous creature is most powerful, utterly destructive and perfectly chaotic. Easily bored and playful as a kitten, this little demon has a gleefully sadistic side.

Media used: Corel Photopaint 9, Wacom tablet. Open Canvas 3 was used for some of the detail-work on the hair, since it (opposed to Photopaint) recognizes the pressure-sensitivity of my tablet.

Hmm, this one's interesting. I like the ears and the flow of the hair. Beautiful, but I believe you that this creature has great power. Sadistic nature glows in it's eyes and can be seen in the curve of his lips. Beautiful.

I love his expression, and actually I think the colors of the earrings are better the way they are. With the emphasis on warm gold tones (his skin, his hair, his eyes), adding cooler greens and blues would be distracting, such a small object with contrasting colors would detract from the work instead of add to it.

the coloring on this is GOREGOUS.. the only nit pick i have though is that the head is flat on top...the forehead should have come up twice what it has, and the head an equal amount.

Very nice. I like the mixture of challenge and disdain in his expression. Simple background, but it works to bring the character to the forefront. The touch of colour on the dangly earring adds interest and helped move my eye through the whole picture. Beautiful!

Wonderful hair and w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l murky colours. But those ears scares me yes they do. You already know that but it amazes me every time so I had to say it none the less. Delish little mouth though. The red and purple earring droplets doesn't fit well with my colour vision though. Not as in bad but as in.. I'm not sure. Disturbes the other colorus for me somehow. As if I would have espected pale green and cold blue instead, together with teh rest of the pictrue's palette. Still, despite my stupid brain's quirks, it is a very nice picture.

Well, that earring is one of those annoying things that has a given color even before the picture in question was made - so it has to stay true to those colors, even if it clashes a bit with the colors of the particular picture.
Was it just a general fantasy picture made for the sake of looking good, I wouldn't have added the earring at all, but since it is an exisiting character, with an existing character-design, it would be odd to leave it out. <.)

It makes me remember some kind of Egipcian god... even it it's an original charac of you (hey! I mean "it" since it's androginus) I like its ears and eyes
