So I have been re-working some older works, adding lighting, shadows, depth of field and basically getting more proficient with photoshop.
Here is the updated version of The offering. photoshop layers added over about two weeks.

This is an entirely different Badger from I knew in the book titled “The wind in the willows”.

thanks! I enjoyed upgrading this pic...though I really need to get back on hand-colouring my newer drawings rather than digitally colouring the older ones

I always color by hand. I get too impatient with Photoshop.

if I had better colouring pencils I would probably be more happy to sit for hours colouring by hand -
but I have taught myself to paint by mouse now, so its just something I do to unwind.
im back to colouring with pencils again now, but it takes forever, and probably will be a while before I can upload the piece im working on, which is a shame.

That's how I am with my drawings. But it's ok. I watch alot of people who dont post often. I think you have a unique and great style.

Wow amazing there is so much to say about this piece. All excellent. Belongs in a book. It tells a story and speaks. I really really love it. thank you!

wow, thanks! I really try to tell stories with my art, so im honoured you get that.
maybe one day I will become an illustrator, who knows..... depends on who winds up finding me, as it were. everywhere I look no-one wants new artists.... so I guess it is just a matter of waiting until the right situation arises.
have a wonderful day my friend!

thank you my friend! the original was coloured a few years ago, and I really wanted to upgrade some of those "scratchy" looking older works.... of course, its no excuse to slack off my new drawings-though it seems that way sometimes XD

yeah the original wasn't dark enough to be inside a sandstone temple... so I wanted it to look much more deep and dark, even when drawing the original.... but wasn't sure how to do it traditionally. I guess sometimes digitally colouring things works better.
have a great day my friend!
