You have pointed some things about anatomy I had never noticed, like the dinosaur back leg. About that asteroid... actually, that was a last minute addition hehe I was painting a star with the tip of a brush, but I ended up messing it up and it looked to big/strange in comparison with the other ones. So, I added this meteorite to cover it. But I can see what you say about adding more cutout details if I'm using it in one part of the piece.
Thanks for your kind and attentive comment, it was really useful. Also, thanks for favoriting!

Anytime, and I've totally been there with messing things up. It's why I rarely use paint or colour in my drawings. I mess up too easily and get frustrated so I go and tear it up. So to prevent the frustration I now just stick to pencil and digital work.
Anyway, I'm glad I could help you, and anytime for the fave, I really like the picture. I especially like the colours that you used and how you draw the leafs. I can't do scenes at all. Time for me to go practice lol!

Hey there. My tag word was "cool" and I chose this image, because I think it is pretty cool especially considering the fact that this was the first time you drew dinosaurs.
The colors are wonderful, especially the sky. The landscape is also very well drawn, I especially like the vegetation. The baby triceratops are simply adorable! I wouldn't mind having one around Their mother looks pretty adorable too. I see you mentioned that they are peaceful creatures unless they're attacked. You did a wonderful job reflecting that. They truly look peaceful. The child, I'm guessing is your boyfriend as a child. I love the way you drew the child's facial expression and how you worked without line art and still prevented the colors from mixing together. When I used to draw with watercolor I had that problem a lot.
I love the sky. I love the part with the stars and I like the side with the volcano. The sky is what gives dynamic to an otherwise peaceful image. The volcano makes the things look lively and maybe even a bit dangerous. The meteorite in the background makes me wonder a bit. I assume it is just for decoration and isn't supposed to really be anything special, but when I first looked at it I thought you meant to draw a peaceful, serene scene right before the meteor hit and wiped everything out. That would have been awesome and also pretty grim, giving it a huge twist to the image. (I'm just speculating Your image is certainly something to look at a lot and think about). That said, your image leave plenty to imagination, it is captivating and very interesting.
Amazing job, amazing artwork! Keep it up
Next in line is TheShadowEmpress and your tag word will be "nature". Have fun

What a attentive, meticulous, kind commenter you are!
Did you used watercolor paint or watercolor pencils? Because I'm used to draw the outlines of an element with colored pencils and then spread the color with a tiny brush. Guess that's why the colors don't mix together... I have almost never worked with the paint itself, I probably wouldn't know what to do.
Yes, the meteorite is supposed to be just alegoric, but you can interpretate it more tragically if you want to - I guess meteorites are a common element in drawings with dinosaurs for the easy dramatism it brings.
Thanks a lot for all your observations!
