Description After I watched the movie for the first time, I spent months listening to AIR's soundtrack while I was working on other artworks. I only managed to not be that obsessed about the Lisbon girls once I painted them.

This is a great painting to illustrate a good film with a great soundtrack. I'm not going to offer constructive criticism. It is lovely as it is. I hope you leave it alone. It is far too easy to overwork nice paintings in the pursuit of perfection.

Hi hi I'm from Project Comment, and I would like to say that I absolutely love the details you put into this.
The entire piece itself as a whole seems extremely bright to me, though I'm not sure if the brightness was on purpose or not it kinda makes it hard for me to really see the skin color of the girls. If anything, I would suggest more washed-like colors for the background, or at least making the outlines of some things a little more darker/noticeable.
Another thing I'd like to point out would be the proportions regarding the girls and the background itself. It looks as if the lamp would only be as tall as the girls' hips or so, and the drawer on the left to be up to their knees. And as stated before, the flooring perspective should be more slanted than just straight.
I hope everything I said makes sense ;w; and can I just say that I absolutely love the details in your flowers. They're so pretty.

I agree about you about the brightness and the general difficulty to see outlines in this drawing. The colors on the wall, bed, skin and hair are from really similar tones, I used the same pencil to do a lot of things. But I love it the way it is. Maybe I could even say the general brightness is a metaphor for the suffocating summer that's the scenario for this movie, but that wouldn't be really honest. I'll pay more attention to the outlines!

The lamp and the drawer are smaller because of... perspective. I think that's understandable, since the parquets get smaller with perspective, even thought they are not slanted.

Hi there! I'm from

First off, I wanted to say wow wow wow wow WOW did you seriously draw every single one of those flowers!?!?!?!?!?!?! That must have taken foreveeeeeeer!!! KUDOS!!! Each of them have their own quirks enough theyre all different, but so uniform and similar and simply WOW!!!

That aside, I think the first thing you can work on is your perspective. That is really the most "off" part of the image. Your character's anatomy is off, but if that is your style and how you want to draw people then go for it! I think they work really well for like a children's book or something too. But the floor decreases from the image. Next time try making the lines follow a slight slant, and look at a picture for a reference. You get that things get smaller in the back- you did that which is great! You just need a little more work in the direction of the lines. just fixing that will make the little dresser appear to not float off the ground, or the girl laying down.

The other thing I notice is the eyes having super heavy eye liner! They are suuuuuper outlined! Because nothing else is outlined they look a little off, like they are staring into the depth of my sooooooooul!     lol! So next time I'd say use a gray pencil so it wasn't so hugely prominent. That, or outline and shade other portions, such as under their chin, their arms, etc.

Lastly! It would be really cool to me if the lamp right next to them would be "on"! You could have an easy light source, easy to perceive where shadows go- the opposite side. And that side could be the one with your black markings! Just my opinions~~~~~

Good luck! I hope all that made sense and didn't seem harsh in anyway

Yes... I drew every single flower there. The hardest thing about it was making them all different. I was afraid of repeating them, accidentally making one that looked too much like another... but overall it didn't took that long...

I agree I could have worked more with the perspective. It's a nice suggestion you gave, about the lamp. I usually don't pay too much attention to shading in my drawings because I'm too lazy for that! But I'll think about it

You are not the first to notice that in some of my drawings, the eyes are the darkest point in the whole piece. But if that makes them pop, would that be a bad thing? Because I like the idea of strong eyes that caught your attention fast.

Well thank you a lot for commenting!
