i was damn sure to already had written something here, but by clicking through all the comments i could not find anything Oo
so here i go (again?);
although this is a very dark picture i really really like it. the idea to put death into a visual form to show he s coming is simply great and a beautiful way to show something that is normally invisible (and difficult to express in a picture, in my opinion). it seems like he/it... the death arises from the dying foxes shadow... as if death is like your shadow; following you your whole life, always right behind you, ready to take you with him everytime, lurking, patient...
maybe i ll interpret too much into this, but actually this is how i feel about it. yeah feel, not thinking. and at least, i am hardly reminded of the old movie "watership down" which i loved to watch when i was a lil kid although it is so sad. it s just a great piece of art dealing with the death theme in a cute way of illustration...
