I was never really happy with the first mantis small-brown-dog.deviantart.com… and the render I wanted to use small-brown-dog.deviantart.com… really needs a rider and I am just no good at organic modeling. So, I found this lovely lady hannuki.deviantart.com/#/art/U… and treated her to a new bike. Hell, its is Christmas after all
Tried loads of backgrounds because I was too lazy to model one and decided one this www.123rf.com/photo_24406194_g…

Thank you and since making this one I have come to the conclusion that I could have done better with the shadows - I do tend to rush jobs towards the end.

First off, looks awesome!
But if you're going for a reality shot though, wouldn't her right shoulder and hair
need a backlit source for the background scene light to come into play? And
possibly a bit of a shadow on the Mantis underneath her arm too?

Your are probably right in all you say and I take it all on board. My biggest problem is I start off carefully working my way though and gradually it all speeds up and I lose the plot and motivation. I should do it more in stages, sit back and review, tweak, sit back and review and so on.

What the Mantis needs is a rider though so if you have a character to sit/lay on this or a similar view
then please go ahead. I can save in .obj and a few others. The Model was made in modo.

I use DAZ and would be happy to have a go at giving your creation a rider. OBJ ought to work (unless you have an even more DAZ-friendly format).
