The staging area for new hostage recruits is a windowless subterranean room with only one exit. Here the restraints are applied by Hostage Confidential operatives to secure the girls for further confinement. For now they are allowed to converse among themselves but not with their handlers who will provide them with no information on their upcoming itinerary. The girls have no way of knowing if they'll be held captive together or paired off or even alone. That will be a moot point as soon as they are gagged and blindfolded. For this is but the first stop in their unknown journey.
