The colored version of the 'Burning Painting' sketch over in my gallery. I gave coloring her swirly northern-lights powers a shot, but it reaaally didn't turn out well. I think the only person who can pull it off, and do it WELL is Runaways' current colorist. They're being colored more pastel these days anyway, though they started out very bright and startling, like this.This was an older piece anyway. Maybe I'll give this another shot one day!

Yeah, she was initially being colored a little more like this. The style has shifted a great deal since the original issues, but I love how she's currently done!

You know, it's been months, and I never did respond to this incredibly kind comment. Work and the holidays sort of steamrolled me, but I want to let you know that I really appreciate it. I'm not entirely sure it's warranted, because Christina Strain is a MINDBLOWING colorist, but still. Thank you. ^_^

i didn't think she was badly colored! i LOVE this pic! i have a comic book on spider man and it happened to have the runaways comic in it and i read it now i LOVE it!!! lol! you are a great artist!!!

They were actually wiped out by the pre-biblical monsters they served, so the kids didn't actually have anything to do with killing their parents.

They were. I mean, most of them still loved their parents, or at least the memory of how they had been. I think even Gert was upset, and she was the most anarchic one of them.

Thank you! The problem is that Christina Strain started out coloring her with more warm colors and has gradually evolved to blues and purples. I should really attempt this again, hence why it's scrapped

It's just that Strain's moved more towards coloring her in pastels, but started off with very warm tones...so I suppose this is a little outdated. I really should try K again!

Well the colors came out kinda...fugly, especially since Strain's started coloring her in more blues and pastels. This is more what she looked like back at the start of season one, so it isn't accurate anymore

I'm glad you like it, though she seems to be colored more pastel these days! She did start out a little more vibrant and red/orange/yellow/pink, but I love how Strain does her these days ^_^ Thank you for the fave!

The Runaways' colorist has taken more of a pastel approach to her light show these days, so it isn't exactly accurate

The colors! The colors! They haunt me! She started out the series so neon, and has kind of gone pastel lately.
