I started this visual style over a year ago. It was for my personal use at first, but it developed well and i changed more and more parts of the theme, so i decided to share it with you.My goal was to create a minimalistic visual style with best usability.

Thanks a lot to , who let me use his APPOWS2010 visual style as base. Silica started off as a personal modification of his style over a year ago. I highly enjoy and appreciate his work.

I forgot to ask you a question: I didn't get the cool, rectangular, back and forward system buttons for the explorer windows. I still have the round blue ones from windows 7. Any clues as to what might have caused this? Regards and thanks again, J

change the explorerframe.dll. be sure to make a backup incase anything goes wrong. if you didn't make a backup, & everything has gone wrong, don't blame me or the creator, blame it on yourself.

I have been experiencing some bugs with Internet Explorer 9, If you could watch my pictures you'll see the issue.
The text box dissappears or reduces. It appears unreadable. What can I do?
Can you work with it and fix ? This error results in wikipedia and other common webpages.

I can't seem to find the problem within the msstyles...
I don't know about wikipedia, maybe the bug is on their end?
Did you test it in the meantime?
You mentioned PHP, this actually may be the problem.
As for the glitch with the Alt+Tab function:
I can't do something about this ether...
It has to do with the frame margins used by all explorer windows.

Good day! Sir i really like your theme but is there a way to make the font color on the start menu into black because it doesn't have a good contrast (gray font color on a light gray start menu) And also when i open microsoft word or publisher the font color is the same gray, this font color is not really good specially if your reading documents, i have to highlight all words and turn the font color black again. Thanks in advance!
