Bringing this pair out again, as they made quite an impact last year And I'm uploading it in time, too! I'd been craving a hunt meet for a while now so I'm very glad oingy-boingy held the Harpley Hunt this year as well.  I tried a slightly different style here, and I rather like it. The hedge could use a bit more substance, though - still need to figure out how to do that with coloured pencils.

I SEE A SIDESADDLE

Ooh, this looks great! Loki is so smart and striking and really suits the hunt discipline, but I love how you've captured a sort of desaturated, bleak tone which I definitely associate with hunts And just...sidesaddle. Always makes my day to see one, and you've drawn Aimee's seat so well that it really shows even though - as it would be - the skirt covers the actual tack. Just awesome. Hope she has fun at the meet ^^

I really love the sort of colour and style I managed to get here. Naturally, I haven't been able to do anything like it since Loki always goes in a side saddle these days. The whole look is a bit tricky to get right, but also a lot of fun

oh and before I forget, I got to see a side saddle demonstration in a horse fair in November, which included good ol' boy Olympic pon Rubi AR! I stupidly forgot my camera at home but: 4.bp.blogspot.com/-JkPhQYhsSC8… It was both the first time I saw Rubi and anyone riding sidesaddle. Double win!

Brilliant, love how casual and competant Aimee looks over a jump (not even a hint of my usual 'OH SHIIIIIIT' jump face!), and sidesaddle too!
