Description
Finally done! Here is the official character sheet for Soul (the male) and Spirit (the female) for the Elsword-RPs group.
I did the head shots before I did the redesign for Spirit so you'll notice some slight design differences, namely Spirit's side curls. The full-body is the final design. I also tried some different styles since I was also trying new programs (Manga Studio 5) and tools (Intuos 5 Pro). Anyway, here is their information:
Soul and Spirit
“I dreamed of the future...and you lost!” ~Soul
“Can you defeat the spirit of two?” ~Spirit
Age: 15 (Base), 15 (1st Job), 16 (2nd Job)*
* Time flows differently in Elrios and Earth, with 3 years being about 1 for them. Because only Spirit and Soul’s spirits are in Elrios, their age reflects their physical selves, which is growing according to Earth time. This is why their physical appearance does not change much from job to job.
Class: Dream Spirits
Race: Human (Spirits)
Ethnicity: Japanese
Weapons: Dream Rods and Dream Gems**
** Dream rods are a pair of custom weapons that are powered by Dream Gems. They can change their shape and function depending on who is using it, their class, and attack. For Spirit, she favors longer blades and whips. Soul prefers double-wielding with both rods having a blade. Even though the rods are used as melee weapons, they deal magic damage as any blades or whips exist as magical energy. Only the rods themselves can usually deal physical damage.
Color: Pale Teal
Background:
Soul and Spirit are twins from another dimension. They grew up sometimes having dreams of Elrios, but since they were dreams, they had no idea Elrios and El were real. One day while riding the train to school, the twins suddenly faint and wake up in a strange but beautiful field, where they are met by a man named Ialu. He tells them they are in a place “between worlds and time”, Dream World. He tells them the history of Elrios and that, in order to protect the El, he started sealing them in Dream Gems and then sending them to other worlds, with the energy being transferred back to Elrios via small invisible portals kept open by Dream Gems. However, some misunderstood his intentions and destroyed the portals. He retrieved the El stones that he could and restored them to Elrios but two were unretrievable. These two were the ones that were sealed within Soul and Spirit’s souls. The Dream Gems and El Stones within them were what caused the two to see Elrios in their dreams. Ialu then asks the twins to help restore the El in Elrios while he tries to find out why they were called to the Dream World and how to send them back. The twins agree and undergo a rigorous training in how to use Dream Energy before heading to Elrios.
The twins later learn that they are in a coma after the train they were riding derailed. This leaves a lot of questions for them such as what happens if they die in Elrios, die on Earth, or if there is anything they can do to wake themselves up.
Personalities
Soul and Spirit are an inseparable pair and have been since birth. They are both easily excitable about the new things they are discovering in Elrios and rather naive and clueless, especially when someone is hitting on them (though the twin will definitely notice). They also both love miso ramen, reminiscent of their hometown, Sapporo.
Spirit is the more energetic and sociable of the two so she often acts as the voice for the pair. She has a unique ability to understand other people and help calm or encourage them. She later learns this ability is because of her Dream Gem, which allows her to sense other people’s dreams, which reflect their emotions.
At school, she was on the dance team and her graceful movements in battle can be attributed to her constant practicing in dance. She also has a pretty decent singing voice, which comes into play in some of her future job skills. In battle,Spirit tends to play it a little more safe than Soul (but that is not saying much since Soul is pretty extreme in his battle tactics).
Soul constantly teases her about being addicted to her smart phone, which she is seriously missing when she arrives in Elrios ( though she denies this). Her greatest fear is being abandoned, which stems from almost losing Soul when he was in a near-fatal accident when they were little.
Soul, despite being quiet and rather shy, is the leader of the two. He can also be rather sarcastic and has a dry sense of humor, but usually only those he is close to him know this. Even though he often teases Spirit, he is extremely protective of her, usually attacking any guys who attempt to hit on her. He has a hard time staying still and was on the soccer team at home.
Soul suffers from frequent nightmares that has lead to insomnia. He has trouble falling asleep because he knows he will have nightmares. When he does finally fall asleep, he will wake up due to his nightmares and he can't fall asleep again. His El Stone within his Dream Gem is responsible for this as it contains just a trace of Dark El. Like Spirit, he can sense others dreams, but is more intune with their nightmares, and thus their greatest fears. His Dream Gem also gives him a rare ability to dream about the future, though often it is twisted into a nightmare. When he recognizes an event as one being from a dream, he gets really jumpy because he is afraid it will turn out like his nightmare (though it never does). Because of his “Vision Nightmares”, many people to see him as an uptight and worried individual, but in reality, nothing much actually outright scares Soul and he is known to take higher chances in battles (out of bravery or stupidity is up to debate).
Likes and Dislikes:
Soul’s Likes: Anything active (especially soccer), miso ramen, onigiri, snow festivals, Spirit, teasing Spirit in good nature
Soul Dislikes: His constant nightmares and insomnia, guys hitting on his sister, large crowds, self-introductions, reaper classes (nothing personal but he once had a nightmare where he was “collected” by a reaper because he was a “spirit”, so he is kind of jumpy around them)
Spirit’s Likes: Music, dancing, singing, miso ramen, white chocolate biscuits, snow festivals, her smart phone, hanging with friends and family, Soul
Spirit’s Dislikes: Being left alone, girls hitting on her brother, the fact her brother suffers from insomnia and nightmares, people who are upset or troubled and not being able to help
Class Specifics
Dream Spirits are a melee magic classes with ghost and dream themes. They specialize in buffs as well as quick, consecutive attacks and chained combos. Unlike most magic classes, they have a very high attack speed and are close range fighters; however, they do suffer from lower magical defense and a lack of powerful skills. Their buff abilities help counteract there weaknesses though. Also, because they are ghosts, they are pretty resistant to physical attacks. As they start to take too much damage, they start to randomly "phase", which causes some physical attacks to not cause any damage at all. Their ghost-like existence helps them also have a higher chance of getting through physical blocks and shields as their physical presence is weak.
Seeing as Dream Spirits have two characters, one of their unique abilities is the “Switch System”, which allows the player to switch between the twins. “Switch” can be called at any time unless the cooldown time of 8 seconds has not passed or the other is KO’d. Each character has their own HP and MP, but share Awakening Beads and Dream Energy. They also have different combos and skill trees, though some combos and attacks are shared between the two. When learning skills, the SP costs are the same as other characters, but both Soul and Spirit learn a skill.
With the Switch System, the non-active twin will take the form of a will-o’-wisp that provides buffs to the active twin. Each character provides different buffs and they are activated when certain requirements are met. The only time Soul and Spirit are able to take human forms at the same time is when Awakening Mode is triggered with three beads (or certain attacks of later jobs). With both present, they lose their buffs but both are present to attack, allowing for new combos between the two.
Another game mechanic unique to Dream Spirits is the “Dream Energy” gauge. Dream Energy not only powers their weapon, the form-changing Dream Rods, but also gives them a physical presence (seeing as they are literally spirits). Dream Gems gather the needed Dream Energy and are equipped on the Dream Rods or special armor and accessories. The more gems that are equipped, the more beads are on the Dream Energy gauge Dream Energy. Dream Energy is built slowly over time as it feeds off the dreams and nightmares of allies and enemies alike; it is spent every time Soul or Spirit attacks (including Z and X moves or Switching between the twins). The following items affect Dream Energy absorption rate:
The number of enemies on the field. The more enemies mean more dreams and nightmares to feed off, however, the amount of Dream Energy gathered this way is limited.
The number of people in your party. Like with enemies, the more people, the more dreams to provide power. While this condition is better at absorbing energy, it is still not the most effective.
Inflicting statuses. When enemies are inflicted with certain statuses or debuffs, like Fear, Curse, Confusion, or Helplessness, Soul and Spirit’s ability to absorb Dream Energy is increased. Even though many of Soul and Spirit’s skills and combos tend to be weaker in terms of pure strength, they almost all will inflict a status of some sort. Soul and Spirit can even inflict some statuses unique to their class, such as “Sleep” or “Dreaming”.
Combos. Successfully finishing certain combos (such as ZZZX or >>ZX) not only increases the chance of inflicting a status or debuff, but also increases absorption for a brief period as it reabsorbs as much of the spent energy as possible. The more combos that can be pulled off by chaining them (such as chaining ZZZX and >>ZX), the higher the absorption rate increases until a second or so after the "full combo" is broken. Of course, using combos uses up dream energy, but the longer the combo chain, the more is absorption occurs to counteract the drain.
Certain Skills and Buffs. Some of Soul and Spirit’s skills and buffs increase Dream Energy absorption.
Cool downs. Cool downs for skills that inflict damage also will increase the rate of Dream Energy absorption by a little as it re-absorbs what it can of spent energy; however, since Spirit and Soul’s attacks tend to be lower damage, the cool downs are also quicker.
Running out of Dream Energy will put Spirit and Soul in an odd situation. Without Dream Energy, not only will they be unable to attack because their Dream Rods lose power, they themselves will turn back into a ghost-like being. While in this state, they cannot attack but neither can they be hit as anything will pass right through them. The exception to this is light and dark element attacks, which acts as a double-edge sword to the ghost twins: these attacks will drop their HP if hit, but their starved Dream Gems will also absorb it and convert them to Dream Energy. Other than that, the only way to restore Dream Energy is to wait for it to be gathered based on number of party members and/or enemies on the field. (Some later jobs will also allow for Spirit and Soul to learn certain combos and skills that can be used without Dream Energy).
Job Paths
Dream Spirits > Armed Spirits > Thousand Weapons*
Dream Spirits > Crystal Spirits > Star Ornaments**
Dream Spirits > Ethereal Spirits > Dream Callers***
* Armed Spirits and Thousand Weapons focus on fighting with their Dream Rods and increasing it’s abilities. They are melee fighting oriented, but their ability to change the shape of their rods allows them some medium and long ranged attacks as well. This job also grants them the most attack speed and agility.
** Crystal Spirits and Star Ornaments focus on unlocking the hidden power of Dream Gems and the sleeping souls within them. They could be considered spell casters and are able to absorb the most Dream Energy of the three paths.
*** Ethereal Spirits and Dream Callers focus on controlling their power over dreams. They are masters of casting buffs and inflicting status effects. They also make use of their ghost-phasing abilities, making them very difficult to deal with.

Trivia
In their will-o’-wisp forms, Soul and Spirit appear to be mute, but the other twin can “hear” them.
Soul and Spirit were given there “Elrios” names by Ialu. There real names are Hokuto (Soul) and Seiki (Spirit) Aida. Hokuto means “North Star” and Seiki means “Beginning, Star”. This is why, in addition to dreams and spirits, stars are also a common motif for the twins.
Soul and Spirit were born only 11 minutes apart, but because midnight passed within that 11 minutes, they technically have different birthdays. Soul is the elder of the two.
Soul and Spirit’s white hair and teal eyes are not their physical coloring. Being Japanese, they really have black hair and black eyes.
Soul and Spirit are in a family of 5. Their father works as a programmer for a small company while their mother owns a tourist shop (where the twins sometimes have to help out). They also have an older brother in college who is kind and caring, but also frustrates the twins because he does not believe Hokuto (Soul) really suffers from insomnia.
