Description I debated with myself if the hat should be blue to match the coat she surely stole from a male classmate, or red to match her school uniform. Ended up with red. Now I'm regretting it.
The kanji in Jouko's name is "castle" and "child/kid", a popular second kanji for girls. I found the castle kanji appropriate for her strength and fortitude.
Kakyoin is still Kakyoin, since that was his last name. Akari replaces Noriaki and uses very similar kanji.
The noodle is now a curly side pony, a familiar style from the 80s. She seems like the type to really care for her appearance, so she has carefully applied makeup and nail polish. Jouko couldn't care less.
