Ok. . . so. . . this was a struggle. Why? Because I center my bends around being accurate to the time period and trends that came with it. Steel Ball Run? The most inconsistent thing Araki has ever created. I'm pretty sure he designed the characters first and THEN decided to make it the late 1800s. Despite this, I tried to stay true to my theme and designed genderbent Johnny as though he were a pioneer woman in the 1880s. Since I made Jonathan into Joanna, it can be assumed that Johnny would be JoAnne. Otherwise, it's up for debate. First off, I gave her two outfits to explore two different styles. A horserider would wear pants, but off the horse, woman were typically always in dresses.
Hoodies weren't invented until around 1930s. So there's one problem. Went with a collard shirt instead, since those were very common for the time. His. . . beanie? Hat-thing, is now a bandana. Very common, especially for woman of the west, if they weren't wearing a bonnet. I simplified the stars because, for one, these kind of designs would have had to be done by hand. Fancy colors and designs were not common and certainly not cheap.
Cowboy boots! . . . lipstick. Didn't become socially normal to wear in public until around the 1900s, and even then, BLUE lipstick wasn't a thing until 1970s. So. I mean. Yeah.
I still made them pink for the femininity sake. Usually I wouldn't color the lips at all, but this character was probably born with it.
Otherwise, no makeup. Clothes actually based largely on the clothing that Dolores wears in the newest adaption of West World. It matches the time period and looks pretty similar to pioneer dresses. Added the stars, probably something she would have added herself, as with the bandanas.
