Description Girls in the 1880s grew their hair out long. and I mean, LONG. Because of the way Dio's hair fluffs out as a kid, I imagined it'd be wavy if it grew out, which was strangely common in most reference pictures I found. I directly took this young dress design from a child's dress from 1886 London.
Despite being from a poor background, Diva would be very conscious about her appearance. Gotta look her best! Joanna's dress is a lot simpler and, as noted in her own design, based largely off of Erina's wear in the original. I believe that she would have the opposite mindset of Diva; despite being rich, wear modest and common clothing so as to not stand out. Adult Diva's hair design referenced from several different photos of hairstyles in 1880s.
When an adult, it was somewhat rare (though not really frowned upon) to wear it down, and there were various, kinda intricate ways of having it up. I thought this style suited her best. After becoming a vampire, hair becomes way more frizzed out and irises small and daunting.
Considered adding lipstick, but thought it looked just fine as is. Lipstick was highly frowned upon unless you were an actor. Dress designed after a magazine article depicting ballroom fashion of the time. Added scarf. Hair is kind of it's own thing, still up but down at the same time. Having it all down was too much. Needed that flare.
